On February 12, 2018, a cooperation agreement was entered into between the Poznań University of Life Sciences and Volkswagen Poznań sp. z o.o., marking the beginning of extensive environmental actions.
The possible scope of cooperation on environmental aspects of Volkswagen Poznań’s onsite operations, i.e. waste management, water and air protection, has been discussed since September 2017. Scientists representing four Faculties of the University (Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Spatial Planning, Faculty of Agriculture and Bioengineering, Faculty of Wood Technology and Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture) joined the cooperation activities.
The agreement is the starting point for further specific agreements to cover scientific aspects (including publications and patents), teaching activities (opportunities for diploma thesis research, study tours) and media promotion of both organizations. On behalf of the University, the cooperation is coordinated by Klaudia Borowiak, Ph.D. in engineering, Deputy Dean in charge of Education at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Spatial Planning.
Jerzy Bykowski, Ph.D., Associate Professor
