IMPLEMENTATION DOCTORATE PROGRAMME

WHAT IS IMPLEMANTATION DOCTORATE PROGRAMME

WHAT IS THE IMPLEMENTATION DOCTORATE PROGRAMME?

The program was launched in 2017 by Polish Ministry of Education and Science and its purpose is to support those scientists, whose results may be directly applicable to the activities of a given company. Joining the programme allows the company to hire a talented scientist, able to solve a technological problem, improve a key process or introduce innovative solutions to the industry. The programme’s participant simultaneously works in the company that employs them and also becomes a PhD student at the Poznań University of Life Sciences. The doctoral student has two supervisors - one appointed by the employer, and the second from the University who also becomes the scientific supervisor of the project.

BENEFITS FOR THE PhD STUDENT

The PhD students in this programme will contribute to the development of their company, develop innovative solutions, not to mention the opportunity to learn from two tutors. For the duration of the programme the PhD student receives dual remuneration – from the company and from the Ministry of Education and Science, in the form of the granted scholarship. Initially, the scholarship amounts to 3,450.00 PLN (gross), and after receiving a positive mid-term evaluation the scholarship increases to 4,450.00 PLN (gross).

BENEFITS FOR THE COMPANY

Companies participating in the programme have the opportunity to hire the best specialist in a given field, one that will spend several years of research focused on solving a problem or improving a product. This can help the company to increase market advantage, patent activity and employment.
