Scientists from Poznan University of Life Sciences (PULS) successfully pursue the contract KA107 in the frame of Erasmus+

International cooperation at the Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture and Bioengineering is progressing dynamically. Last year, in October and December, we were hosting scientists from the University ECHAHID HAMMA LAKHDAR – EL OUED in Algeria. This time, six of our scientists lectured at the University El Oued, resulting in strengthening the educational and scientific cooperation.

We informed previously that we have been awarded a grant in the frame of Erasmus+ Action KA107 „Education Mobility” for realising educational mobility with the University of El Oued in Algeria.

The visit (03-10 of March) of our scientists (Prof. dr hab. Jean DIATTA, Prof. UPP dr hab. Janetta NIEMANN, Prof. UPP dr hab. Przemysław BARŁÓG, Prof. UPP dr hab. Monika JAKUBUS, Dr hab. Łukasz MYCZKO, Dr Sofia CELEWICZ) at El Oued was a great opportunity to meeting with Authorities of the hosting University, i.e. JM Rector, Prof. dr hab. Omar FERHATI; Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. dr hab. El Habib GUEDDA, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, Dr. Abdelmalek ZAATA and Prof. Dr Mohammed Seghir NILI, Prof. Dr. Samir DEROUICHE, Prof. Dr Smail MEHDA, Dr Mahfoud BABAOUSMAIL as well as many coworkers.

The topics of the lectures covered agriculture, biology, environmental and natural sciences with a large audience from students, PhD students as well as scientists.

Our University has signed in 2018 roku with the University of El Oued in Algeria a cooperation agreement. Our visit in Algeria was one of the expression and result of the grant for the project prepared in explicit cooperation between scientists of the Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture and Bioengineering (PULS) and the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, University of El Oued.

It is worth mentioning that the number of students at the University of El Oued is currently reaching 28 thousands, and the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences welcomes ca 3800 students for 81 professors.

We are glad to meeting with Authorities of the University of El Oued, scientists, students, PhD students and making a ground progress with the current cooperation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMeSv2DwR7k

We address our thanks to Rectors of the University of El Oued, Deans of the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences and scientists, particularly Prof. Dr Mohammed NILI for organizing our visit and ensuring the follow up of our cooperation.
