Centrum Innowacji i Transferu Technologii serdecznie zaprasza na kolejny wykład otwarty w ramach projektu STARTUPP! PULS, realizowanego w związku otrzymanym grantem: U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Poland grants program-Innovation and entrepreneurship support in Poland (#WAW-NOFO-FY22-03). 

Wykład pt. "Budowanie akademickich Start-upów.n (eng. "Building Academic Startups") wygłosi w języku angielskim Prof. Charles K. Whitehead - wybitny ekspert z dziedziny prawa oraz przedsiębiorczości akademickiej z Uniwersytetu Cornella w Nowym Jorku. 

Stanowić on będzie niesamowitą okazję do poznania procesu rozwoju działalności biznesowej typu startup oraz wymiany doświadczeń na temat współpracy nauka biznes. Podczas sesji pytań i odpowiedzi będzie można szczegółowo dopytać naszego prelegenta o jego doświadczenia w tym zakresie.

Biogram 

Charles K. Whitehead is the Myron c. Taylor Alumni Professor of Business Law at Cornell Law School and the Founding Director of the Law, Technology and  Entrepreneurship program at Cornell Tech.
Professor Whitehead specializes in the law relating to business organizations, capital markets, financial institutions, mergers and acquisitions, and complex transactions.He was a Research Fellow
at Columbia Law School before joining the Boston University SChool of Law faculty in 2006 and the Cornell Law SChool faculty in 2009. Professor Whitehead founded the Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship program at Cornell Tech, which is Cornell University's innovative tech campus in New York City. The Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship Program is the premier U.S. program for lawyers and law students interested in technology and high-growth startups. Professor Whitehead is also founder of eó Business Incubators,Ukraine's #1 technology incubation program. In addition, he is Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Startup Fund (under Ukraine's Ministry of Finance), which provides grants to early-stage technology businesses.

Professor Whitehead is co-author of one of the leading Securities Regulation casebooks in the United States. He has published extensively, including in the Columbia Law Review, the Georgetown Law
Journal, the Cornell Law Review, the Boston University Law Review, the Ohio State Law Journal, the Journal of Corporation Law, the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, and the Harvard Business Law
Review.

Professor Whitehead was the first foreign expert visiting professor at Peking University Law School and a Research Fellow in the Center for Financial Studies at Goethe University. He is the only American to receive an honorary doctor's degree from Yaroslav Mudriy National Law University in Ukraine. Before entering academia, Professor Whitehead held senior !egal and business positions in the global financial services industry, practicing in New York and Tokyo, including as a Managing Director of Nomura Securities International, Salomon Brothers, and Citigroup. He was the first Citigroup Country Officer for Japan, the head of Citigroup's Corporate Bank in Japan, and the Chief Operating Officer of its investment bank in Japan. Professor Whitehead is a member of the American Law Institute and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.He was a law clerk to the Hon. Ellsworth A. Van Graafeiland, U.S. Court of Appeals (2nd Circuit), and is a graduate of Columbia Law SChool, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone
scholar and a James Kent Scholar, and Cornell University, magna cum laude.
